April 2022 Vintage Sign of the Month
This vintage image of Yellowstone National Park is part of our National Park collection of retro signs. The collection also includes Old Faithful (located in Yellowstone) and the nearby Grand Teton National Park.
Mostly in Wyoming, Yellowstone also includes parts of Montana (and Idaho too). Image depicts one of the large waterfalls of the Yellowstone Grand Canyon.
According to the National Park Service, Yellowstone was the world's first national park.
"On March 1, 1872, Yellowstone became the first national park for all to enjoy the unique hydrothermal and geologic features. Within Yellowstone's 2.2 million acres, visitors have unparalleled opportunities to observe wildlife in an intact ecosystem, explore geothermal areas that contain about half the world’s active geysers, and view geologic wonders like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River."
